Clarion West Write-A-Thon

Now I’ve done it. No escape. No excuses. No more easy weeks of seeing how many words I can manage to pound out in my daily commutes. In the six weeks the Clarion West Workshop runs this year, from 23 June through 2 August, I’m participating in their Write-A-Thon, and committed to write

21600

new words for my Broken World novel.

Here are some of the excuses that won’t work:

Crowded train? Move to first class. Working from home? Write in the evening. A week-long course preventing me commuting? Come on, I’ll be in a hotel! What else am I going to do every evening, far away from my family? My writing sucketh? Sucky writing also consists of words that can be counted! Out of inspiration? Fortunately, one is never without perspiration.

Wish me luck…
